Located on the south side of the Missouri River, just 40 miles west of St. Louis, Washington
has a population of approximately 14,000 people. Known for its hospitality and friendliness, you can enjoy the camaraderie at the beloved annual Washington Town and Country Fair, and the town’s preserved German heritage by perusing antique shops; fine restaurants; and historic buildings. If you're an outdoor lover, you'll enjoy activities such as the Katy Trail and close access to Missouri wine country, and a plethora of other nature activities. And Washington’s restored 1923 railroad depot receives Amtrak service, from St. Louis and
Kansas City, twice daily.
After seeing how Mercy was there for us, I knew in my heart I wanted to be the health care provider that could be here, not just for the patient, but also for their family members. I will forever be grateful for all that Mercy has done for us. I began my work at Mercy in 1996, when I was 21 years old, and I plan to retire from Mercy."
As a group, we joke that we come back to work every day to see what will happen next! I stay at Mercy because I think the camaraderie we have is something you can’t find just anywhere."
